At Trelewis Primary School we want all our pupils to be able to contribute to the work of the school. This is established through our 'Pupil Voice Committee' who are elected by individual classes each year to represent their class. Our Pupil Voice Committee looks at various areas of school life including eco and digital aspects.
Our Pupil Voice Committee combines a range of previously separate Pupil Voice groups (School Council, Eco Council, Ambassadors, Digital Ambassadors) and creates a single committee that works together to achieve their targets to help improve the school.
The Pupil Voice Committee meet regularly between October and July and discuss a range of possible, environmental and practical improvements in the classroom and the school in general. The also discuss and oversee aspects of school life that contribute to pupil wellbeing such as the school playground and playground buddies.
Issues and concerns raised by pupils through their Year Representatives are also discussed at length and prioritised before being passed on to the relevant people within the school. For children who are interested in becoming a Pupil Voice Committee representative will get the chance to show their interest at the start of each school year.
