Nestled in the heart of the village of Trelewis, our school is a warm and welcoming place where children aged 3 to 11 are encouraged to learn, grow, and truly Reach for the Stars. We proudly serve the community of Trelewis and the surrounding areas, offering a nurturing environment where every child is supported to reach their full potential.
Our school is housed in a modern, well-equipped building with bright, engaging classrooms designed to support every stage of learning. With eight classes from Nursery through to Year 6—including a mix of single and mixed year groups—we’re big enough to offer variety, but small enough to know each child well. Our resources include up-to-date ICT facilities, a rich library, and a wide range of learning materials to inspire curiosity and creativity.
Outside the classroom, our grounds offer fantastic spaces for exploration and adventure, including a playground, forest area, large field, and even a gardening zone. These areas provide plenty of opportunities for hands-on learning and outdoor play.
At Trelewis Primary School, we believe in the power of community. Our staff, pupils, parents, and governors work closely together to create a positive, inclusive, and supportive atmosphere. We also enjoy strong links with our local community through exciting projects and partnerships.
You’ll find us just off the main high street in Trelewis, easily accessible via our footbridge or the rear entrance on Cherry Tree Way. We’re a busy, vibrant school with lots going on and are always happy to welcome new faces.
We’re also proud to be part of the Taff Bargoed Learning Partnership—a federation with Bedlinog Community Primary School. Together, we share ideas, resources, and opportunities to give all our pupils the very best educational experiences.
