Welcome back to all our Pupils and their families to another academic year at Trelewis Primary School. We also extend a special welcome to our new pupils in Nursery and their families, who join us this term. I trust that over the summer holiday period you have had chance to relax and spend quality time with your children. I’m sure that our Pupils have been taking part in lots of lovely different activities over the summer break and I know that they will all be given an opportunity to share what they have been up to as part of their morning mindfulness sessions this week.
From the outset I would like to continue to encourage all the parents/carers of our pupils to get involved with the life of the school. Our aim at Trelewis Primary School is to be a school where ‘Parents are Partners’ in the learning process, providing our pupils with the best possible education. The Parents of our pupils continue to show us lots of support, and we look forward to this continuing in this new academic year.
Your child will have been provided with a “Welcome Guide” to their new class. In this guide you should find a range of useful information regarding Class routines that should help your child to settle into their new class. Please note that a ‘Meet the Teacher’ evening has been organised for Tuesday 10th September at 15:45pm where you can meet your child’s teacher and find out other useful information specifically about your child’s new class.
On the website you will find a list of initial dates and events taking place this term. Further details and extra events will be added as the term goes on. We will again be promoting good pupil attendance this year. A useful ‘Home-school Attendance Tracker’ has been provided along with this letter so that you can keep track of your child’s attendance over the year. I trust you find this useful.
Once again, I look forward to continuing to work alongside you and your child/ren as we continue to provide an education for all our pupils that allows them to ‘Reach for the Stars!’
